Bambusa Guangxiensis - Chinese Dwarf bamboo
Apart from shrub or ground cover bamboos this is the shortest growing bamboo we have. Chinese dwarf makes a good shorter screen because of its compact bushy nature growing naturally to about 2.5 metres in our climate. It prefers a sunny spot with some shelter. While not as cold tolerant as some bamboos, it has done well here and will be suitable for conditions in and around Melbourne.
